The OHA-GET swim team remains undefeated with their win at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational. The team won with 399 points with Lakeland Union taking second (260) and Merrill High school third (220). The team won 2 of the 3 relays and took 2 individual titles.
The team started off strong by coming in second with the 200 medley relay with swimmers Lydia Hale, Josie Rupple, Elin Gilles, and Lydia Foster (2:00.64). In the 200 freestyle, Onnalee Wolff went on to win with a time of 2:04.77 and Claire Eddy had a lifetime best (2:25.29). In the 200 IM, Zeena Ott swam to a 2nd place finish in 2:30.91. The 50 freestyle was a tight race, with Lydia Foster taking 2nd in 26.57, while Laney Brandl clocked a lifetime best of 28.34. In the 100 butterfly, Onnalee Wolff finished 3rd with a 1:07.72. Lydia Foster placed 3rd in the 100 freestyle with a strong 59.76. Distance standout Laney Brandl delivered a huge race in the 500 freestyle, claiming 2nd place with a lifetime best of 6:21.83, while teammate Claire Eddy also posted a lifetime best in the event at 6:38.60. The 200 freestyle relay team of Elin Gilles, Zeena Ott, Onnalee Wolff, and Lydia Foster secured a win with a time of 1:47.23. Alivia Wicktrom recorded a season best of 1:24.44 in the 100 breastroke. To close the meet, the 400 freestyle relay of Lydia Hale, Zeena Ott, Laney Brandl, and Onnalee Wolff captured 1st place in 4:07.32, sealing the win for the team.
