The OHA-L boys swimming team dropped a 90-69 decision to Winona on Monday, January 13, 2026, in a competitive dual meet that featured several strong individual performances.
Relay Performances
OHA-L captured victories in two of the four relay events. The 200 Medley Relay team of Wesley Ranis, Daniel Ott, Parker Nagel, and Deacon Durnil finished first in 2:05.01. The 400 Freestyle Relay quartet of Durnil, Austin Bork, Wesley Ranis, and Seth Russell also touched first with a time of 3:54.78.
Winona claimed the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:54.00) and the 200 Medley Relay Junior Varsity (2:32.38), where OHA-L’s JV team of Zachary Winchell, Isaac Gerke, William Roessler, and Logan Tibbitts finished second in 2:32.38.
Individual Results
Deacon Durnil led the Vikings with a victory in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:21.20. Daniel Ott added a first-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:24.11.
Seth Russell contributed strong performances with a second-place finish in the 200 Freestyle (1:59.88) and third in the 100 Backstroke (1:03.57). Parker Nagel earned runner-up honors in the 50 Freestyle (29.40) and won the JV 100 Backstroke (1:20.39).
Additional scoring came from Wesley Ranis with a fifth-place showing in the 200 Freestyle (2:29.01) and third in the 100 Backstroke (1:19.60). Austin Bork placed second in the 100 Backstroke (1:14.71), while William Roessler finished fifth in the 500 Freestyle (6:33.51).
