Holmen vs Middleton: Game 2

Middleton dominated both sides of the game on Saturday afternoon, blanking the Holmen Varsity Vikings 10-0 behind a relentless sixth-inning rally and a lights-out pitching performance from Ella Duzan.

After scoring single runs in the 1st, 4th, and 5th innings, Middleton blew the game open with a 7-run sixth inning, capitalizing on timely hits and Holmen defensive miscues. Macey Blazek led the offensive charge with two doubles and six total bases, while Grace O’Connor chipped in with two doubles of her own.

Holmen struggled to generate offense, recording just three hits—one each from Imani Toso, McKenna McHugh, and Macy Kline. Toso’s double was the only extra-base hit for the Vikings.

On the mound, Ella Duzan was dominant, striking out several while allowing no runs and facing just 22 batters on 73 pitches. Holmen pitcher Abby Hoffman battled through 109 pitches, but three fielding errors proved costly in the end.

Middleton’s combination of aggressive hitting and clean defense paved the way for a decisive win, while Holmen will look to regroup after a tough day at the plate.
