The Mauston Invitational on April 22nd was a day filled with outstanding performances for the Holmen Vikings. There were 30+ personal records for the boys and girls teams!
Addison Devine lead the girls with 3 PRs in the 100, 200, and long jump despite battling injuries. Jaren Nygren earned PRs in the 200 and High Jump while being a big part of the 4×100 relay team.
The girls had an outstanding day. The throwers earned a large number of PRs, 9 of the 16 finalists in the 100m Dash were Holmen sprinters, and the hurdlers also made their mark, with 5 of the 8 finalists in the 100m Holmen had the top 2 finishes in every field event including 6 of the top 10 jumpers in the Long Jump. Bailey, Jolee, and Aubrey made big returns to competition, contributing to their team’s success.
The boys team also had a big day. The 100m Dash featured 4 of the top 5 finishers coming from Holmen with a sweep in the top 3. Additionally, 3 of the top 4 finishers in the 200m Dash, 5 of the top 7 finishers in the 800m Run, and 5 of the top 8 finishers in the High Jump were all from Holmen.
It was a great day from top to bottom, and another stride forward in the season.
