The Holmen girls tennis team faced a tough opponent in Aquinas, falling 7-0 on Tuesday. The Blugolds controlled both singles and doubles play, with Aquinas taking all four singles matches in straight sets. In doubles, Holmen’s No. 1 team of Emmeline Barnes and Paula Barlow battled in the opening set before Aquinas pulled away for a 6-3, 6-0 win. Despite the setback, the Vikings continue to gain valuable experience as they move deeper into the conference season.
