The Gatzke Invitational at Tomah on April 25th saw young athletes deliver strong performances, even while competing in less than ideal conditions.
Olivia Matt had two great hurdle races and a strong leg in the 4x400m relay. Alex Berget won the 300m Hurdles with a PR while running a top 3 200 and a good long jump.
Notably, 2 of the top 3 finishers in the 100m Dash showcased impressive speed for the boys. Young teams also put together strong relay runs. Carlin O’Hearn and Calvin Xiong PRd in the Pole Vault. Lauren Schnidler broke 31’ in Triple Jump, Gabby Carmona set a new personal best in the 400, and Lahna Bloyer set a new PR in the 300m Hurdles.
Even with a smaller team, the Gatzke Invitational was another great showing by the Vikings.
